Peter Moreland (Pemo) RIP was one of the origional members of our Society. Sadly, on 24th June 1998, Pemo passed away. He was a great character and a great supporter of The Slip Inn Golf Society.

As a mark of respect and remembrance,  the Captain, Committee and members decided to sponsor a shield in Pemo’s memory. The shield is known as “The Pemo Memorial Shield”

The shield is played for on the Friday of our Away Weekend each year. The winner gets to keep the shield for one year plus they choose a charity to receive a £50 donation, sponsored by the Society.
